Aromatherapy works holistically, restoring the natural balance of the body.

What can aromatherapy do for you?

Aromatherapy treatments offer a whole range of benefits for our health and beauty. Their advantage is that they affect our body holistically, restoring its natural balance and working in multiple ways. Plants have long been used for therapeutic purposes, and research in recent years confirms their high effectiveness and beneficial effects on our bodies. Essential oils are characterized by their ability to have simultaneous positive effects on both the psyche and the body.

Improving skin condition

Essential oils permeate all skin layers improving skin condition, they permeate into the bloodstream and reach all parts of the body. Before our system finally eliminates them, they influence us for many hours, and this time depends on the type of the oil as well as individually on the person.

Regulation of body functions

From a physiological point of view, essential oils regulate the functioning of our organs, tissues, the nervous system which coordinates the functioning of our body, and all other systems in our body. The oils influence our body similarly to hormones and enzymes, balancing our endocrine and immune systems, helping fight off viral and bacterial infections. The benefits for skin derives include mainly an increase in collagen and elastin synthesis, regulation of water and lipid metabolism, strengthening of blood vessels, oxygenation, accelerated exfoliation of epidermis and replacement of old cells with new ones, soothing irritation, elimination of bacteria, viruses and fungi. The skin becomes firmer, more elastic, hydrated, redness, irritation and scars disappear.

Excellent absorption

Essential oils are absorbed by the skin thanks to hair follicles, which contain an oily substance called sebum. Sebum has a strong affinity for essential oils and allows them to diffuse into the blood and lymph. This process generally takes between 1-6 hours, and it is better not to wash them off the skin for this period. By applying oils to the skin, we combine their ability to permeate our body through both skin and the sense of smell. This unique combination can give powerful results.

Some essential oils affect our bodies in very specific ways, but the effects of many of them overlap to a large extent and have a very wide range. Only by working directly with the oils can you understand what choice will be best for your situation. Essential oils work fantastically together and produce better results in well-composed blends than individually. We call this synergy.

Mood enhancement

The aroma of essential oils directly affects our mood and how we deal with emotions, and it benefits our memory, both short-term and long-term. Aromatherapy helps us cope with depression, nervous tension, anxiety, anger, apathy, confusion, inability to make decisions, anger, inability to concentrate, insomnia, hypersensitivity, impatience, lack of energy, irritability, panic attacks and hysteria. Essential oils always work in multiple ways, without disturbing our body's natural balance, so by using aromatherapy we do not run the risk that excessive intervention will upset it. Oils are also sometimes called adaptogens - substances that enable us to better adapt to the conditions around us.
